Dallas Fashion Consultant asks: Are YOU an inspiration?

Dallas Image Coach, Julie Thurburn, asks: Are YOU an inspiration?

Leadership begins within.

  • So, what do you do to inspire YOU?
  • Do you include positive thinking in your day to help you attract positive opportunities and people throughout the day?
  • Do your actions inspire others toward excellence?
  • Do you look like you are pursuing your dream or just surviving?

If you lived in a vacuum, then you wouldn’t be able to have an impact in the lives of others.  But, you don’t.

  • So, what impact are you making on yourself, first, and then others?

What’s in a dream?

According to Jim Rohn, “Dreams are a projection of the kind of life you want to lead. Dreams can drive you. Dreams can make you skip over obstacles. When you allow your dreams to pull you, they unleash a creative force that can overpower any obstacle in your path. To unleash this power, though, your dreams must be well defined. A fuzzy future has little pulling power. Well-defined dreams are not fuzzy. Wishes are fuzzy. To really achieve your dreams, to really have your future plans pull you forward, your dreams must be vivid.”

Do your dreams show up in how you dress?

Making an effort to do anything well is not only a sign of a healthy sense of self-worth, but also a statement of respect for others.  Even your brain knows the impact.  When you are in a positive state of mind, it’s easier for the brain to release chemicals that help you be happy, grateful, and physically healthier.  When that internal goodness shows up in your dress code, 0thers often appreciate it by acknowledging your efforts with a compliment and are more open to providing quality referrals.  It’s a cycle that benefits you and everyone who will be looking at you all day as they will easily see you as someone with a clearly defined mission.

Defining your dream helps you define your wardrobe.

You don’t have to have a closet full of the latest trends to attract others to help you reach your dream.  You do, however, have to look attractive and stay up to date.  This means your clothes must fit well by gently draping your frame.  High definition may be great on a screen, but not in the fit of your garment as we do not need to see all that lies beneath.  And, while a tent may be fun during a camping trip, wearing one will only overwhelm you and cause others to wonder what you’re hiding.  Your accessories need to reflect a sense of your personality – but should not be overdone.  Proportion and balance are two keys to look for before you walk out the door.

As your Dallas Fashion Consultant, it is my mission to help my clients always look fabulous without being a slave to the whimsical ways of fashion trends.  I am passionately committed to making sure my clients always look their very best in order to help them achieve their personal and business goals.
